SUMMARY --

**Warning: Contains spoilers

Kiernan Parks settled all the scores. He finished what he set out to do and then . . . he left.

He left Jade. Heartbroken and weary. Existing one day to the next. One breath after another. The only way she knew how to move forward, forever missing a piece of her heart. Until an unexpected surprise throws her volatile life into upheaval, once more.

He left Caulder. Guilt-ridden and grieving. Fighting to hold it all together. Not just for himself, but for the people he cares about. Staggering under the weight of his obligations.

He left them alone.

He left them together.

The Review.

Welcome to cryfest 2015. My name is Sympathy, and I'll be your host for the festival.

Pieces of my Heart is an emotional story that continues the Pieces series (and the book that made me weep like a little baby, Falling to Pieces). I had only just finished reading the prologue and I already found myself crying. It wasn't as bad as it was when I finished reading Falling to Pieces, but it definitely showed me that this was not going to be good on my emotional sanity. It is a wonderfully amazing story that gripped my heart and wrenched it every which way. Enough so that it got me crying multiple times throughout it.

I really do feel that the Pieces books are amazing, captivating, and emotional. Ms. Canosa really knows how to make you feel what the characters are feeling.

That being said, the whole time, I really longed for things to work out between Jade and Caulder.

As for the ending, it had a great "twist" to it, and though I hated her mom, it still made me sad, because it made Jade sad. Poor Jade! I'm not sure if there is anything planned to conclude or answer questions after this, but I really do hope things start working out for Jade. She deserves never-ending happiness after all the Hell she went through just to get pieces of it.
